Matt is a gifted creative communicator who loves to play and make people laugh. Sixteen years after taking up magic as a teenage hobby, he’s still passionate about it. In 2009 he won the Fellowship of Christian Magicians UK stage magic competition. He’s also scoped prizes for the best stand up comedy show at Buxton Fringe Festival and even the Institute of Physics’ postgraduate lecturer award. He has previously performed at Greenbelt, Spring Harvest, Camden fringe, OXfringe, Buxton fringe and the comedy festivals in both Birmingham and Manchester. When not performing magic, Matt works as a freelance science presenter and coordinates his church’s all-age services. Prior to that he worked as an atomic physics researcher playing with stupidly powerful lasers at Durham University.Matt likes making people laugh, PowerPoint and macaroni cheese. Matt doesn’t like rain, donkey sanctuaries and cauliflower cheese.
