Ed Newell

Ed Newell is Canon Chancellor of St Paul’s Cathedral and Director of St Paul’s Institute. He experienced in experimental liturgy using the arts, and has worked closely at St Paul’s Cathedral and elsewhere with a wide range of artists including Beth Neilsen Chapman, Adrian Snell, the Rambert School of Ballet and Contemporary Dance, and the Whitbread Prize winning poet Michael Symmons Roberts.

He is currently working on a book of Grimm Tales with Professor Ron Murphy of Georgetown University, the author of The Owl, The Raven and the Dove: The Religious Meaning of the Grimms’ Magic Fairy Tales (Oxford University Press, 2000), the book that inspired him to develop this series.
