Ciaron is a “cradle Catholic” and has spent his adult life within Dorothy Day’s Catholic Worker movement,
Ben is a recent convert to Christianity. Ben had previously served with the Parachute Regiment in Northern Ireland, Macedonia and Afghanistan. During his first tour with the SAS in Iraq he had a crisis of conscience and refused to return to Iraq or serve under US command.

Together, over the past 18 months, they have been arrested blockading Downing St. The have witnessed for peace outside the MOD, Northwood HQ. and resisted militarism at Army recruitment centres. They have organised solidarity for imprisoned war resisters Bradley Manning and Michael Lyons. They have organised solidarity for WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange as he has been dragged through the courts.

Ciaron O’Reilly is a member of London Catholic Worker that operates from Giuseppe Conlon House offering hospitality to destitute refugees.

Ben Griffin is an organiser with Veterans for Peace UK.
