Brokenfor

2003 was the beginning of Brokenfor. Brothers Ben Lawrence (Guitars, Lead vocals) and Daniel Lawrence (Bass, Backing vocals) joined with drummer Dicky Baxter to form a worship band for their Church Wroxham Rd. Methodist (Rocky-Road).

Leading worship from a young age meant the band learnt how to play together and soon began to write their own songs.

Being a 3-piece, the band set out to make a sound different to bands heard before. Sporting an alternative/acoustic rock style the band create songs ranging from hard distorted guitar driven rock grooves to jazzy acoustic tunes with a lighter feel. ‘We have, voice and bass led melodic patterns through our songs, which I feel sets us apart from other band’s sounds.‘ says Ben Lawrence.

The band has been in the process of creating sounds, writing songs and gigging since they began. Over this period they have developed and improved every part of their performance and sound.

Brokenfor now hope to expand and glorify God in whatever way they can. They may be young but they hope to change hearts and minds wherever they go and produce a mature and emotional sound to bring people to worship with God.
