BEES helps you rediscover your inner adventurer with an inspiring mix of hands-on play, bushcraft, practical conservation and environmental projects.
BEES was orginally set up by Pete Carthy (teacher & Forest Schools leader) in 2008, with the help of 5 other Directors. BEES runs a wide variety of projects, such as eco-therapy for the NHS, relationship building with fathers and children, vegetable gardening, climate change education.
“We work with a wide range of groups, from nursery children to adults with mental ill-health. We are about making a difference in peoples lives through reconnecting them to nature through a variety of fun and active methods”, said Pete Carthy.
BEES has been running events at Greenebelt for three years, we don’t charge the festival for our services, as this is our way of giving back, as all the Directors and staff team that come to Greenbelt are Christians.
BEES (Borders Environmental Education Services) is a social enterprise based in the Scottish Borders, but working across Scotland and the UK.
