Bethan James

Bethan James is a freelance musician based in Manchester. After working for some years as a violinist she went on to study a music education method called Dalcroze Eurhythmics at the Institute Jaques-Dalcroze in Geneva.

This way of learning about music teaches the basic concepts and theory of music as a physical experience whilst also addressing issues such as balance, co-ordination, use of space, an ability to adapt quickly, awareness of others, and the development of imagination and creativity.

Bethan teaches on the highly acclaimed Junior Strings Project at the Royal Northern College of Music, Manchester,works for Manchester Music Service, visits a school for children with special needs once a week and runs her own training course for adults in Manchester.
