Bassline Circus is touring a new show, ?Advertigo?. This is circus as you?ve never seen it before, cleverly combining mind-blowing high wire antics, genetically modified street arts and clowns with the infectious sounds of new skool beats.

?Advertigo? demolishes the culture of commercial advertising, disintegrates the dodgy world of the blipvert, spammer and door-to-door sales-mugger and provides a dizzying roller-coaster ride of multi-media madness and mayhem with some of the best breakbeat, digital graffiti, vj-ing, scratching and circus acts you?re likely to see all year.

?Advertigo? is the story of mister everyman, the luckiest consumer in the west, who was in the right place at the right time … but his winning sends him into a cycle of mass control and hard sell.

Bassline is run by a co-operative of creative individuals and they began life as organisers of some of the biggest free raves of the nineties. Famously, they took their parties to Africa, war-torn Bosnia and Sarajevo and all around Europe. Formed in 2003, Bassline has transformed travelling sound systems including Desert Storm, Total Resistance, Hekate and Sound Conspiracy into a legitimate organisation dedicated to their unique brand of entertainment.

?Advertigo?, gets the endorsement of the Arts Council and creates a Big Top show that will blow your perception of ?circus?. Yes, there are some spectacular circus skills like swinging trapeze, counterweight abseiling, bungee, break and popping, Chinese pole, juggling and silks. But there?s much more, all against a backdrop of street arts and digital graffiti – and, of course – a thumping soundtrack of bass-driven electronic music that fuses hip hop, drum and bass, live rapping and vocals.
