Alan McBride
Alan McBride lost his wife Sharon, and father-in-law Desmond in a bomb attack on Belfast?s Shankill Road. For the past six years he has a been a Youth Worker at the WAVE Trauma Centre, providing care and support to young people that have been directly impacted by the violence in Northern Ireland.
Alan also sits on the board of Healing Through Remembering, a charity set up to bring forward ideas for ?dealing with the past? in relation to the ?Troubles?. Recently, he has started writing for a local newspaper, the Sunday Life, providing comment on politics and current affairs.
