Alan Mann is an author, freelance writer, theological educator, and a stay-at-home dad! He has published two books, Atonement for a ‘Sinless’ Society and A Permanent Becoming, as well as co-writing and contributing to many more, most notably, The Lost Message of Jesus, with Steve Chalke MBE (founder of the Oasis Trust). Alan is also a distance learning tutor for the London School of Theology’s Open Learning Department, guiding students through both undergraduate modules and the post-graduate course, Theology of the Poor. Alongside his writing, he is a member of EarthAbbey, taking editorial responsibility for its website, and being an early adopter of the GrowZones initiative. Alan also works on a voluntary basis as a Better Reading Partner for primary-aged children struggling with literacy skills. He is currently a trustee for the development charity, HOPE International/UK, which works on water and sanitation projects in Sub-Saharan Africa. Originally from ‘The North’, Alan now lives in the West Country with his partner, Kay, and their daughter.
