Since their appearance at last year’s Fairport’s Cropredy Convention in Oxfordshire ahab have fast become a hot favourite on the festival circuit. This five piece folk-flavoured country-rock band is based in the creative heart of north London. The band members not only share a love of American-influenced music but are very accomplished songwriters. Their impressive repertoire of self-penned material is influenced by Paul Simon, Nick Drake, and Gram Parsons among others. ahab’s music has a laid-back swing but with an undercurrent of indie edginess. The band features Callum Adamson on 12-string guitar and vocals, Luke Price on mandolin and vocals, Dave Burn on guitar and vocals, Steve Llewellyn on bass and vocals, and Grahame Rolfe on percussion.Earlier this year ahab featured in a live session on Bob Harris’s BBC Radio 2 show.“ahab is the real deal – top-notch UK Americana featuring tight four-piece harmonies.” Simon Mayo, BBC Radio 2“I loved ahab’s terrific performance at Cropredy festival.
