Last year we announced the launch of Greenbelt TV: a new experiment to provide more content to more people more of the time.

We've just released some more videos on GTV including the ever popular Richard Rohr and Tom Sine. If you're in need of a bit of soul food, be sure to take a look…

Some interesting weekend viewing for those of you interested in art and creativity. New York filmmaker Kirby Ferguson has created an online documentary series titled Everything Is A Remix, which looks at creativity, and suggests that all ideas are recycled.

It's fascinating stuff, entertainingly told. The first part looks at music, including hip hop sampling and Led Zeppelin. See it below, or on the website.

Ferguson is making the series off his own back, so if you enjoy it, do donate some cash. Part 2 – which deals mainly with movies - is available on the Everything Is A Remix website, with two further parts arriving later in 2011.

One great advantage of Greenbelt's 38-year history is that occasionally little gems like this pop up. Greenbelter Tim Longman has posted the official video from Greenbelt 1991 on YouTube.

Featuring some names and faces that you may recognise (including John Bell, Martin Wroe, Garth Hewitt, Eden Burning, and Pip Wilson), and some fashion choices that you may wish to forget, it's a remarkable document of where the festival was in its ongoing development – and amazing to think that there was another twenty years of continual growth and restlessness to come!

UNICEF have released this emotive and beautiful video to highlight their "Put It Right" campaign, designed to inspire action to protect the rights of children around the world.

UNICEF write:-

This film is a glimpse into the lives of children around the world who are missing out on these basic rights – the right to an education, to a childhood, to be healthy, to be treated fairly and to be heard. This is wrong. Please take action today and help put it right.

Greenbelt 2010 acts Beverley Knight and Foy Vance recently appeared in two-minute films on Channel 4 as part of their 4thought.tv strand, speaking about what the song Amazing Grace means to them. They even give short performances of the song. Highly recommended viewing:-

Greenbelt '08 Mainstagers [dweeb] are running a campaign leading up to the release of their new single "It's OK" over the summer.

The campaign is called "Let's Tell Everyone It's OK!". In introducing the campaign, [dweeb] say:

[dweeb] are on a mission to tell the world that It's OK; that no matter how tough your situation, there's always hope. It's a big job, and we need your help!

The campaign is run through a Facebook group which includes challenges to win prizes (including a signed guitar), resources to post to your social network site of choice, and chances to interact with the band and their followers in spreading a little hopefulness!
