We're looking for a couple of volunteers who can spare 2-3 days a week during July/August and post-festival in September assisting our wonderful programming team.

The kind of things you'll be doing include:

data entry onto programming database

collating lists of contributors’ information

assisting the programming team in run up to the festival

The office based role would suit a volunteer with an interest in Arts Adminstration or Event Management with experience of using Microsoft Office and preferably some experience of databases.

This is a great opportunity to get involved and gain experience of preparing and organising a festival. Full support will be given.

This is a voluntary position. Travel expenses within the Greater London area will be reimbursed. Volunteers must be aged 18 plus.

For further information, please contact Eleanor Mottram, Programmer Coordinator – telephone 0207 374 2755 or eleanor@greenbelt.org.uk

Festivals and accessibility are rarely considered compatible, but we're pleased to be working with the UK's largest Christian disability charity Livability to change that.

This year’s festival will have more wheelchair ramps, accessible toilets, and hearing loops than ever before and – thanks to the support of Livability – we will, for the first time, be offering electric and manual wheelchairs for hire throughout the weekend.

Greenbelt already offers dedicated camping areas, free tickets for carers and support groups to help people with learning difficulties but – according to our esteemed director Jenny Baker – this new partnership will make this year's festival "the most accessible Greenbelt yet".

For the duration of the festival Livability’s Community Mission team will have a stand within the G-Source exhibition space. Visitors will be able to get information on the charity’s work and engage in a discussion around the team’s collaboration with churches to help and support disabled and disadvantaged people.

Adam Bonner, Community Mission director at Livability, said: ‘’We are delighted to be able to work with Greenbelt Festivals to improve access for disabled people. Greenbelt is a fantastic celebration of the Christian faith and a great opportunity to enjoy a varied programme of creative and inspiring events.’’

Jenny Baker said: "Greenbelt wants to be inclusive and we welcome any initiative that helps us to do that. We want to make the festival accessible to as many people as possible, and we are grateful to Livability who have provided both advice and funds that have made these changes possible."

Concession tickets for Greenbelt 2011 are available for £68 until the 30th June. Disabled carer tickets are available free of charge. For more information click here.
