LIFT 2012: Changing the face of freedom
The London International Festival of Theatre is having another brilliant year this year, with a packed programme of great performance.
We particularly wanted to draw your attention to Changing the Face of Freedom, a morning of “discussion, debate and workshops”, featuring some of the international theatre practitioners appearing at the festival talking about “what happens to the creative vocabulary when the political landscape changes… how different political landscapes impact on what is sayable in the arts”.
The panel includes Lebanese filmmaker Lucien Bourjeily, co-founders of Belarus Free Theatre Natasha Kaliada and Nicolai Khalezin, founder of the Iraqi Theatre Company Monadhil Daood, and Tim Etchells, the artistic director of UK company Forced Entertainment.
It all takes place this Friday (22nd June). For more information and to book tickets, head to the LIFT website ยป
