Coexist Foundation join Greenbelt
We are pleased to announce a new partnership with an organisation sure to bring something fresh and exciting to Greenbelt’s festival and year-round work – the Coexist Foundation.
The Coexist Foundation is a charity which works to promote understanding of Jews, Christians and Muslims through education, dialogue and research – bringing together people of the Abrahamic faiths through a number of initiatives, including resources, exhibitions, arts competitions and the prestigious Coexist Prize, awarded to an individual who has made “an exceptional contribution to building bridges between people of different faiths”. Coexist are associate partners of Greenbelt for the 2012 festival.
Greenbelt director Paul Northup:
I am delighted to welcome Coexist Foundation as new Greenbelt associate partners. The work and vision of Coexist will inspire and help us to be braver and more imaginative in programming art and content that encourages greater respect, dialogue, engagement and understanding between people of different faiths.
