As previously announced, we're opening artist and speaker applications for Greenbelt 2012: Saving Paradise today. Please use the forms below to pitch ideas to our Producer Team and Programming Staff. (We are not accepting applications to the Greenbelt office by post - this is to prevent waste and to minimise environmental impact.)

We are accepting talks proposals and suggestions for speakers.
Deadline is Wednesday 15th February 2012, 5pm.
Please note you will need a link to a high-res photo of yourself for festival publicity.

MUSIC
We are accepting proposals for all music stages.
Deadline is Wednesday 15th February 2012, 5pm.
Please note you will need a link to a Soundcloud or Bandcamp page. Submissions via youtube and myspace will not be accepted.

ALL OTHER PROGRAMME AREAS
For all other programme areas, please fill in the form below and mark which programme areas you would like to be considered for.
Deadline is Wednesday 15th February 2012, 5pm.

Due to the expected volume of responses, and the need to consider each application carefully, we will get back to all applicants by 30th April.

We look forward to reading your applications and putting together a brilliant programme for the August Bank Holiday weekend...

I'm sure this has been either suggested or done before, but if not I would be willing to run some workshops on the Enneagram. If you don't know what this is, I'd be happy to elaborate further.

  • Alun Brookfield says:

Hi. My name's Alun Brookfield. My wife and I and our children have been Greenbelters since 1993, and wouldn't miss it for the world - we were there in 1999, that first, almost disastrous, year at Cheltenham! And we're Angels.

May I suggest you check out our son, Gaz, for Greenbelt this year. He's a cracking good singer/songwriter, with a big following in the west country - he's the only solo acoustic performer EVER to sell out the Fleece music venue in Bristol, which he did just before Christmas! And in 2010 he won the Acoustic Magazine Singer/Songwriter of the Year award.

Google Gaz Brookfield and you'll find most of his stuff on his Facebook page or on Youtube. Enjoy!

Sorry I have missed the deadline. I suggest Rosie Meeks and the Open Road who I was lucky enough to see in concert recently. They have recently been on Aled Jones' Sunday show on Radio 2. A beautiful and funny folk band, absolutely perfect for Greenbelt. I hope you have booked them already!

It appears the link o the application forms is broken, so I'm sending this email.

I have a new album/book combination out this year which would make a nice live music slot.

And also lectures on arts and culture (along the Scheaffer\Rookmaaker/Seveld lines) that I'd like to bring to Greenbelt if there is space, please let me know,

I met two members of your board when I was doing a waterstones signing, and they said I should write in. (he was bearded vicar with a large leather hat, his wife has red hair if that helps!)
    many thanks Henry Brooks

  • Matt Hards says:

Hi there, I understand the deadline has passed, but please consider accepting us for the line up this year - we have performed the last 2 years on the Underground Stage and recieved positive feedback each time. We also are guaranteed to turn up!
We have a new album and mixtape due to drop back end of this year, and would really appreciate the opportunity to come and drop another high quality set for you!
Once again, we really appreciate your consideration!
    Regards,

    Matt Hards, Knew Jeruslum

  • Faith Kenrick says:

Could this year's festival make artists welcome that way performing musicians are? My hopes are raised by the simplicity of this years theme and participated in creative teamwork for the Peace Zone when closely connected to Campaign Against the Arms Trade (supported by faith and union organisations) in the early 2000's, I'd love to lift off a team planning group two or three times before August to get the practice of art off with a flying chance, considering that youth appreciate having a boost to their talents just like older types do.
