Ticket Deadline Countdown – 5 days to go
'There's no place like home', says Dorothy to take her back to hers. And soon it will be time for thousands of Greenbelters to click their metaphorical ruby slippers together and say the same, waking up to find themselves at the festival once more. A home of sorts for many.
And what better way to have thematic fun all together as the family of Greenbelt this festival than to gather together on Sunday teatime to sing our hearts out to the timeless songs of that classic family film, The Wizard of Oz.
Let's raise the roof of Centaur as we belt out "We're Off to See the Wizard", "Follow the Yellow Brick Road", "If I only Had a Heart", "Ding Dong, the Witch is Dead" and, of course, "Somewhere Over the Rainbow".
The more who really enter into the spirit of the film by dressing up, the more fun we'll have. And we'll give a prize or two for the best individuals and groups who come all frocked and togged up as Dorothy and her odd bunch of fellow travellers. But remember: no dogs allowed. So don't get any ideas about bringing Toto, now.
