The Sounds Of Greenbelt 2010 – Part Two
Over the festival weekend, we featured Paul Whitty's collections of sound recordings he made at Greenbelt - catch up with the first post here.
Paul has now uploaded a new batch of recordings, so relive the festival aurally with the sounds:
- of posters fluttering in a gust of wind
- of candle-powered steam boats
- of cheese and ham and pineapple
- of power generators
- of hand-driers
- of Mainstage heard from your tent
- of power cuts and power being restored
- of cycle powered smoothies
- of rain on the tent
- and drinking beer
If you haven't heard them yet, here are the first batch:
- the sounds of the tiny tea tent
- of the walk to the campsite
- of running water
- of frying up at breakfast time
- of hi-fiving
- of hymns and beer and toilet doors
- of searching for friends
- of queueing for tea
- of walking past the ice-cream van…
Some of the sounds are also being put up on Paul's Audioboo account, and some have also been submitted for the British Library UK Sound Map.
Plus, check out Paul's recordings from Greenbelt 2009.
Thanks, Paul!
