Brilliant Blogs about Greenbelt 2010
We've had some brilliant blog responses to Greenbelt 2010, so here we've collected together some of our favourites, with some great quotes that reveal just how special Greenbelt can be...
I not only left feeling full to the brim, I departed feeling hopeful and warmed anew towards my tribe.
Riazat Butt in The Guardian - Comment Is Free:
[Greenbelt] has everything you might expect – hymns and Fair Trade beverages – and things you might not – good comedy and hotties.
The organisers have managed to create a Christian festival that people are actually comfortable inviting their non-Christian friends to. I could see anyone I know who isn't Christian having an awesome time at Greenbelt and discovering a bit of what God is about... maybe it’s just the addition of a beer tent or maybe it's the diversity of Greenbelt but anyone is genuinely welcome at the festival.
Noelle Lomanto in Independent Catholic News:
In a nutshell, Greenbelt simply is about action. I was overwhelmed by the plethora of opportunities to be engaged in and inspired by individuals and organisations who are making a real difference, a difference made by working for God’s peace, healing and friendship throughout the world.
Marcus Green of Salvation's Songs:
If you have been to Greenbelt and not been [to Greenbelt Folk Club], you have not really been to Greenbelt. Until you have heard a man stand up & say seriously "I'd like to play my current favourite Morris Dancing tune", and then do so on his accordion, you haven't really experienced everything this festival has to offer.
And there are further reminiscences online from...
