Greenbelt 2010 On The Web: Bloggers & Newspapers
This is part of our ongoing series about participating in Greenbelt 2010 on the web. On Tuesday, we looked at Twitter, and today it's blogs and... newspapers?
As you are no doubt aware, this Blog is the best place to come for festival news, all-year-round arts, faith and justice events, and links. Just because we’re all in Cheltenham, that’s not going to change. Throughout the weekend, we’ll have a team of bloggers reporting back on events around site, trying to capture something of the feel of the festival.
Subscribing to the blog is really easy, allowing the updates to come directly to you shortly after they’re posted. Over on the side of the blog pages on the site you’ll see subscription links for your feed reader (if you’re new to RSS/feed readers, the BBC have a good explanation and google offer a nice web-based one) or by email.
For the past few years a growing number of Greenbelters have written on their own blogs about their festival experiences. If you’re a blogger and you’re planning to write posts about things you see at Greenbelt, let us know and we can link to you throughout the weekend.
At the end of the weekend, we’ll be putting together the second edition of “While We Were Here” a newspaper produced entirely on site at the festival, pulling together photographs and blog entries sourced online, and maybe a few other bits and pieces. Tell us about your blog entries and (if it’s okay with you, of course) they might just end up in there... Goes to press Sunday evening. On site that night or Monday morning.
[while we’re talking newspapers, one enterprising Greenbelter has set up “The Twitter #gb10 Daily” using the wonderful paper.li service. Check it out each day to see what tweeting Greenbelters have been saying, sharing and linking to]
