Site Vibing Make Days in London – 22 and 23 May

Here on the blog, we've previously reported about the Make Days that the Site Vibing team have organised, with a look at some of the results from the first set of Make Days in Leeds back in March.

Now, there's another opportunity for the creative and artistic - and also the enthusiastic and amateurish! - to get involved in making beautiful things to turn our racecourse site into the vibrant festival site that we all know and love. You don't need an art degree, just a willingness to get involved with papier mache, or other crafty activities with card, plastic or fabric.

It's happening at All Hallows on the Wall in London (aka Greenbelt HQ) between 10am and 5pm on Saturday 22 and Sunday 23 May. You don't have to come to both days, and you don't have to spend all day there - giving just a bit of time can help our site vibers out, allow you to meet some new and exciting people, and have fun making the festival a little bit more special.

Site Vibing maven Saga Arpino says:

We'll be making elements for bigger sculptures and hanging installations, using your crafty construction skills. For the sewers amongst you there'll be a chance to make flags and bunting, building on the great efforts of the buns and bunting teams of last year.

Feel free to invite friends. It would be a good chance for people who haven't volunteered at the festival before, or wouldn't want to commit to volunteering fully, to get involved and make their creative contribution to the Festival site.

If you want to bring your children, they are welcome, I'll have some activities that you can do together.

Do RSVP by emailing vibing@greenbelt.org.uk so the Site Vibing team know how many people to cater for. And don't forget, if you can't make it, the Site Vibing Throughout The Year page has instructions for making bunting so you can participate by post!

More results from the Make Days as we get them!
