How to eBay for Greenbelt

Our Development Manager Jo Bega is a big fan of fire engines. She knows the difference between a Seagrave K-Type Pumper and an Iveco Magirus LF 16-12, and casts scorn upon anyone who doesn't. Despite this, she's made the bold choice to sell her "Unique Collection of Six Diecast Fire Engines" on eBay, to the highest bidder.

Now, we aren't drawing your attention to this so she can make an easy sale, but rather so we can show you a great new way that you can give to Greenbelt.

Jo is giving 25% of the takings of her "Unique Collection" to Greenbelt, through the splendid eBay for Charity scheme, in collaboration with Mission Fish. This allows people selling items through eBay to give a portion of the money they sell an item for directly to Greenbelt. This could be 25%, or even 100%, of the total money raised.

The eager eBayers amongst you may be wondering how you set this up... eBay have produced some handy web guides on the subject. Greenbelt has a page on eBay for Charity, where you can see what's being sold to help us. Click here for our listing.

So sell much, and sell often! It's a really marvellous way to support our annual festival, and the ongoing work of Greenbelt in areas of arts, faith and justice.

(At time of writing, the fire engines are at £3.25 (before P&P). We'll report back on how they do when the sale closes.)
