Gospel Roots Brass Band

The Gospel Roots Brass Band is an ensemble with an ethos of Christian Mission stemmed from Castleford Salvation Army.

It is a fundraising group for many different projects/charities for events & worship outside of a conventional Sunday setting.

The Gospel Roots Brass Band is a dance band for modern audiences, which provides energetic, attractive music in an assortment of styles, including Funk, Afrobeat, New Orleans Street Brass, Gospel and Soul, it is certainly not your traditional brass band.

The Gospel Roots Brass Band can perform on a stage and engage the audience or we can walk around the festival site playing music on the move. We have worked hard on a repertoire that includes music that everyone can enjoy, from pop songs to film music, from children’s music to worship songs. We have found that our style and enthusiasm gets the audience ready to dance.
