Whatever you can manage will help us. But please bear in mind that it costs us £8 a year to process your giving. Most of our Angels give gifts ranging from £10 to £50 per month.

Don’t forget to make sure that your giving is Gift Aided. Gift Aid was introduced by the government in April 2000 and allows charities to reclaim the tax you have already paid on your donations.  For example, each £1 donated by you will be worth £1.28 to us once we have reclaimed the tax.  On a donation of £10, this will mean an extra £2.80 for our work.  And it doesn't cost you a thing.   We can also reclaim tax back from any donation you have made to us in the past six years.

(NB: If you have signed the Gift Aid statement on the angel form and subsequently change tax status it is your responsibility to inform Greenbelt and CAF of this.)

Timescales
It can take up to 6 weeks from you sending in your form for it to be processed by Greenbelt and CAF. Please remember this when checking your bank statements to see if payments have gone out of your account.

Changes
If you change address or bank please send us written or email notification of your full new and old details, so we can keep our database clean of duplicates. We will then notify CAF for you.

If you want to change the amount you give you need to fill in a new Angel response form (see the right-hand menu bar for download).

When changing a standing order or direct debit please remember to cancel any that you had previously set up with your bank. Only you are allowed to cancel a standing order or direct debit. We cannot do this on your behalf. You have to authorise a standing order or direct debit personally through your bank. Direct debits or standing orders cannot be cancelled by Greenbelt or CAF.

If your payments stop or do not show on your bank statement:
Please check with your bank first.

CAF will contact you up to three times to inform you if a payment is not going through or is being withheld by your bank. And finally, Greenbelt will also contact you.

The Direct Debit Guarantee
Please copy and paste or save this guarantee should you fill in a Direct Debit manadate to Greenbelt using the downloadable form here (in the right-hand menu bar).

• This Guarantee is offered by all Banks and Building Societies that take part in the Direct Debit Scheme. The efficiency and security of the Scheme is monitored and protected by your own Bank or Building Society.
• If the amounts to be paid or the payment dates change, CAFGREENBELT will notify you at least ten working days in advance of your account being debited or as otherwise agreed.
• If an error is made by CAFGREENBELT or your Bank or Building Society, you are guaranteed a full and immediate refund from your branch of the amount paid.
• You can cancel a Direct Debit at any time by writing to your Bank or Building Society. Please also send a copy of your letter to CAF, Administration Services, Kings Hill, West Malling, Kent ME19 4TA.
