New and newsworthy
For this year’s Greenbelt, we’re looking for a variety of new and different artists, speakers and experts to be part of our programme. Here are some basic guidelines to encourage those of who might not have considered applying to be part of our festival before.
I remember a few years in the late noughties when, although we kept coming to Greenbelt each August, our family didn’t actually go to any programming. For reasons which are for another blog, we’d had a few too many children too close together and, in short, we were held captive in the campsite by four, puppy-like boys who wouldn’t let us do what we wanted to do anymore.
There’s a showing of the documentary Greenbelt at 40 in Kings Heath in March, followed by a Q&A with the film’s director Pip Piper.
Greenbelt is ...
Engaged with culture, inspired by the arts, sustained by faith, we aspire to be an open, generous community.
“Greenbelt ranks alongside Glastonbury as my favourite festival gig of the summer.”
— Mark Thomas
